Texas remains one of the most affordable housing markets in
the country. Dallas and Houston have each attracted half a million
new residents since the beginning of this decade.
New housing supply remains plentiful in the Lone Star State.
With all the four major cities building homes to keep up with the
demand, and flooding the market.
In 2005, Florida built 247K new homes and was on the top of the
list, and Texas was third with 179K homes. But with so many new homes
under construction, Texas could be on the top in 2006 and 2007.
